THIS IS US

The story continues on a mountainside not far from the couple's cabin covid hideaway.  After receiving Ashley's parent's blessing, Matt bought a ring and started plotting with both families and friends.  He wanted it to be a complete suprise for Ashley and how it played out worked better than could ever be planned.   Matt decided he would tell Ashley they had reservations at a very exclusive restaurant once Ashley arrived on a flight to Pittsburgh early on a Sunday morning. "She'll never expect it on a Sunday night" Matt thought. Little did he know, Ashley would be her own distraction when she nearly missed her flight.  Finally, once Ashley arrived extremely flustered they went to the cabin. Ashley at this point was exhausted, not feeling well, and tried talking Matt out of dinner multiple times. He continued to explain how reservations were very hard to get at said restaurant and Ashley finally obliged.  When they finally left for "dinner", Ashley was confused why Mico was allowed on the "patio" of the said restaurant but after the stress of the morning didn't think much of it. Finally, they were approaching the restaurant when Matt turns down a gravel road and stops the car. He then tells Ashley there is no restaurant but that they were going to have dinner on the side of the mountain, which they have done in the past. Matt with the help of his parents had prepared the food while Ashley was on her flight.  He set up a candlelit dinner and opened champagne.  As the two ate dinner and were simultaneously getting eaten alive by mosquitoes, Matt pulled out his laptop and told Ashley he had a suprise for her.  They went through a slide show of their relationship that ended with a blank page saying "there's only one picture left to add."  Ashley was so consumed by the memories she didn't even notice Matt get up and grab something from the car. When she finally went to ask Matt "what picture is this?" He was down on one knee and pulled out the ring. She said yes, camera flashes appeared from the weeds, and fireworks started going off from behind the trees. The suprise was complete.
